Yolk Cafe

Before going up to Reading to visit George for a few days I was scrolling through Instagram and stumbled across a picture of some eggs. Sounds ridiculous but these were beautiful eggs. Like ‘beautiful eggs on a plate that had been perfectly organised and looked so photogenic’ eggs.

I’d say I’m not a massive egg eater but I do love a good fried egg or dippy eggs and soldiers now and again (I’m still a big kid).

I wanted these eggs in my belly so set myself on a mission that we WERE going to this cafe.

Luckily it was only round the corner from George so it was clearly meant to be.

It is quite a small cafe but it gets very busy which shows its a popular one with the locals. Cafe Yolk is also a little family run business too which makes it more unique and special.

The exterior is grey and features some white and yellow (obvs for the egg, but this was such a EGGcellent  colour choice…soz I had too). This theme also followed inside the cafe and they even had a really cool mirror wall which I thought was very different.

George ordered The Canadian fry up whilst I opted for The New York Bagel.

You can browse through the Cafe Yolk menu here but I certainly recommend looking on the tagged locations on Instagram to see people’s pictures of their food!

Let me know what you think if you do visit!
